I liked this song a ton. Great feel. I loved your voice - perfect for the music. I liked the "bops" that come in at about 1 min. Definitely a song that I'd turn up the volume for.

Some suggestions... How about a high harmony part all the way through the verses? It might sound really nice. I would suggest a bit more punch on the bass. Maybe an EQ boost at 800K or something. Just something to articulate it and bring it through. I'd have to listen again, but some of the "bops" I thought were off when they come in the first time.

Again, really great one. Loved it.

wow -this is getting more response than expected-thanks all----

David--thanks for listening-you're right about the buzz-it's on my end-I will remove it next opportunity--glad you liked the tune-i'm on the lookout for another song by you......

roker-hope my first response to you didn't come across the wrong way-i've lost my objective viewpoint obviously...i sent the singer a link to this thread--we'll talk about re-doing vocals based on yours and others reccomendations--thanks man!

wes-hey homeboy--ya "energy"-i notice we lose that when we record drums with a click-and if they aint got it-its tough to ever get it...as far as the cold stale brittle thing-well others are doing fine with digital recording-i just need more work-stuff just doesnt seem to "glue" together like in analog....thanks for your time.

Muzeman-acoustic was recorded with an ocatava mc012--i bought 2 on reccomendation from this board and it's a great mic!-it was positioned around the 10th fret-less than a foot from the neck...glad you liked the tune--thanks alot for listening--looking forward to one from you soon...

Toki-lol funny stuff man-hell you don't have to go the dentist to get nitrous.....thanks for listening!

TripleM-I'm honored you like this being a pop maestro yourself..ya the bass is kinda buried-I'll work on bringing it out some-your right about the "bops"-some are a little out of time-I've been dreading going in and shifting them around--i sent the singer a link to this so maybe we'll re-do them. Glad you liked it! looking forward to a new one from you soon.

Btw--just in case you think we're all bubblegum-puppies and daisies--i put something up for you rockers-called "bomber run" at nowhere--I wont hog the clinic with two threads at once-just had to balance things out so you don't get the wrong idea...enjoy.

pretty crankin' tune Strat.. Did you have this on your site a while back? I almost remember hearing it.. nice riffage man... You should start a new thread so it's not missed..

I like old vintage type pop music, so I think it's pretty cool. The Beach Boys harmonies are great. You mentioned you're not really done, so no comments about the mix. I like the real drums, should be great once you've got that redone or whatever. One thing is the sort of start/stop nature of the song, maybe too much. I like when it stops for the Beach Boys section, though. Real cool.

Hey Strato!

I'm listening to the 3 tracks you have U/L. I LURVE love and War (how the hell did you get Robbie Williams to sing the LV on this???!! - heh) Great Track.

Ressurected is coool man! The ba ba's in the chorus really work well, and the whole thing reminds me of the LA's and getting stoned in a flower power tribute band I used to play with. I could listen to this track all day!!

Bomber Run sort of Steve Vai meets Zappa (again). I cant comment on Sim Alliance, but certainly reminds me of capping the flag in Tribes 2 - hehe. Great riffs - howdja play that fast???

Cheers
Dee

...And a request!!Wow! I'll be working the overnight and I'll work on getting "love and War" up so check back tommorrow--[/B]

I'm glad you did that. I've already told you I like your current offering, and I was listening to it again this morning, but "Love And War" is truly epic, and it has been in my Winamp playlist for awhile, so I feel kinda' attached to it now; in fact, I think I wrote it and you stole it...yeah, that's it. GREAT STUFF!!!

(It's Up, btw - "Love & War"...hehehehe...go listen, really)

:D

Very cool tune! Those bridge sections are genius, man. I'd like to hear more backgrounds weaved into the opening section as well. I want to hear the finished mix for sure. This is a great hook laden song! Its so sixties pop, I have to smile!
