Miniature tom mics?

I was wondering about those miniature condenser(I think they are all condenser or?) like the Shure Beta 98D/S or Audix Micro-D. How do they perform against other normal and proven tom mics (md421..)? I'm thinking about finally buying tom mics but I don't want big mics so it's easier to deal with and mount them faster.
So are they good(I guess so..heh) and which one would you recommend?

This sound company I used to work for used the original SM98's on toms nearly all the time. The floor tom usually got a 421 though. I think you'll be really happy with them. Great tone and attack with a really small profile. IMHO you can't go wrong.
