hey

I have this project tomorrow.
I need to record an accordian.
I want to hear soem advice on what is the best way to do it?

I thought i would use 2 mike's. Each for it's own registry.
Mike it with a pair of good condenser like AKG 414. Cardiod pattern and not very far away form the reso wholes!

Anyone had any good expirience?

Teyshablue is your resident accordion expert here! Tey? You receiving on this channel??

2 to 3* out from the accordian is usually a good starting point.

*Note:

The * signifies "Units Of Measure". For some engineers recording accordians, the units of measure may be feet, houses, blocks, counties, or states.

Bagpipes use similar units of measure.

Bagpipes I can understand micing from miles away, but accordian??? Surely the signal to traffic ratio would be horrid.
