Ok, hope someone could help before it's too late... :D
On 06-12 I'll be playing with my band, but there'll be noone there to help us to setup the whole thing, and I don't know how to place mics to properly gather the drum sound to send to the mixer...
Can someone give some help, please? :)

Sure. What kind of mics and how many do you have?

Mmm... I actually don't know, cause the other band is going to rent them. :D
Consider it will be nothing special... Sorry but it's everything I know :(

Put a dynamic mic inside the kick, preferably something like an AKG D-112, ATM-25, Shure Beta 52 or if even a SM-57 if that's all they have. If there's a hole cut inside the front head, slip it inside pointed at the beater around 6 to 12" away from the head. Put a dynamic mic on the snare anywhere from about two fingers width inside the rim and two fingers off the head to back 6" or so out from the snare pointed at the rim. As with all mic placements, use your ears to decide what sounds good to you. I wouldn't mic individual toms but mic them in pairs with a single dynamic mic between two (assuming you have two rack toms) toms. A single mic on the floor tom. If they have overhead mics (usually small diaphram condensors) put them up over the snare position about two or three drum stick lengths from the snare. If there are no overhead mics, don't sweat it.

Wow! Thanks a lot for the precision! I'll try to do my best. :D
