the acustic fiberglass they say is just a high compressed fiberglass you can get at home depot that you use in your walls, is it possible to get that normal fiberglass and squish it between 2 pieces of screen?
 
By the time you figure how much std insulation you need, the cost of the wire to hold it in place, and the extra time to deal with the compression, I think you'll find using 703 isn't any more expensive.
