Midistudio Playback Problems

I tried to start up my 644 Midistudio after 10+ years, but the capstan motor does not seem to start when the unit is powered on, there is no sound - not even a hum from the motor. The belt must be in place, because the capstan cannot be turned while the unit is powered up, but can be turned when the unit is off, which indicates that the belt engages upon power-up. I suspect there is oxide on the motor connectors, or something similar since I don't even hear a hum. Anyone here with a solution to this problem, or a service manual to share?

Thanks

OK, I took it apart and it was the capstan belt and the motor. Sigh... oh, well. It appears to be a common problem with these old machines. Too bad.
