I have the Keystation 61 bought off of ebay. I have Win Xp, 512 DDR RAM, Pentium IV @ 2.0, ASUS P4533/ Intel 845E.

My problem is that I can not get my computer to prompt the install new hard ware wizard. My USB Hubs are fine.

I contacted M-audio about this and they responded with a plan, but that didn't work. So I e-mailed them back and they had me do something else. Didn't work either.
I have downloaded the newest drivers that are available

So I decided to forget their support team, they take about 5-7 buisness days to respond.

---MY QUESTION IS since my computer is having trouble with the USB, can I use a seperate MIDI interface? If so which one? There are MIDI interfaces that are USB, Parrallel, Serial, and internal. Will a USB one do fine?

I was thinking about going the Roland or StudioLogic MIDI controller route, but they are too expensive.

Well, if you're having problems with USB, why would you think getting a USB interface would do fine? After all, that's all the USB port on the Keystation does -- it's just a MIDI interface with a keyboard attached to itself (or vice versa)...

The internal ones are ones that take up a card slot, but if your Add New Hardware wizard doesn't work for the USB port, will it work for a new PCI card?

The thing is my computer prompts the install new hardware wizard for my digital camera when I plug the USB of the camera into it. So my computer can probably accept a different MIDI interface.

I just need to know if the keystation can work with a foreign MIDI interface.
