midi

I have a Echo Mia sound card and I was wondering if i wanted a midi port(Mia doesn't have one) could I install an old sb live card and just use it for it's midi port?

Is there a down side to this setup?

The only down side is if the SB card conflicts with the Mia.
It might, or it might not.
Give it a try, if it does not work you could always remove the SB and it's drivers.
