Hi Guys,

Is it possible to play midi backing tracks copied onto my Smart Media Card thru the LE while playing the keyboard at the same time?.
I havent had the keyboard long but my band are currently recording midi backing tracks (bass & drum) onto Mini Disc and then playing it back at gigs.

Thanks,

Steve

what is "the LE"?

It is possible to play midi from your keyboard and use midi at the same time. Simply use any software midi/audio sequencer! (which i'm sure you used to record the midi in the first place)

Do you mean once the midi is recorded onto Mini Disc (where the midi now becomes audio an audio file)? that is simple too. plug your mini disc audio-out into an audio-in channel on your desk or audio interface, and your keyboards audio-out into another audio-in on the same desk or audio interface.

im sorry, i did not know you were reffering to the Triton LE. Ignore my first post. I also have minimal knowledge of the Triton LE! and therefore still haven't answered your question

Yes Steve, it is possible to do so. But you're not going to play the backing track direct from the card. You need to load it to internal memory first. Reffer to your manual. I know my friend who has Triton LE 76 could do it very simple. Just don't turn off the keyboard after load it yet. Triton LE doesn't store sequencer data in it's memory (unless you upgrade something optional... not sure...). The chance is if you turned it off, then you must re-load it again. Hope it helps, good luck.

In Media Mode load the song you want.
Switch to sequence mode
Set Bank to GM
Hit Play.
Go to unsed track in seq mode
Set that track for the instrument you want to use
Jam Along :)
