MIDI Voices

So I record an audio track and all is going well. I then record a midi track and all is still well but when I try to do a second midi track the first track takes on the voice selected for the second track. I'm using cubasis, is this my problem should I get a better programme ??? I've got local switched off. Help.

Um, what device is your software sending midi data to? Is the device multitimberal? For a sound module, each midi track needs to be on a separate midi channel #

I'm using Cubasis VST 4 into a Casio CTK-900 keyboard, soundcard is an
M-Audio 2496. I guess I should have spent more time with the manuals but it's the fun end I want to be playing with.

Save yourself the frustration and read the manuals first. That synth is 16 part multitimberal so all you need to do is set up the multi patch and send each midi track in cubasis on a different midi channel that corresponds to the midi channel each patch is set up in the multi
