I use AA 2.0, but have never used a MIDI controller for it. I decided to assign a few sliders/knobs of my MIDI keyboard to control panning and gain. I have 2 questions: 1) What trigger name am I looking for to do this in the assignment configuration? I can't seem to locate them. 2) Is there a way, with any controller (e.g. Mackie Universal) to control panning and gain with hardware and have it adjust in realtime on the software (AA 2.0)? Again, I haven't got the controller to work yet, but my understanding is that you can only change Automation? Does this mean that during the mixing stage, everything works like an analog setup, but during tracking you cannot ride them?
