midi songs

Hi all,
Is there a repository for full midi songs? I'm hoping for a free repository. And one that has famous songs.

Does such a thing exist?

Not that i've found, I just use google and hope for the best. Sometimes you'll get some great ones and sometimes they suck ass.

There are a few sites out there that have ones you pay for or that have a monthly fee with access to their entire library. In my expierience the ones you pay for are quite good.

thanks for the reply. the reason i ask is that a friend has googled and found some free ones. the songs he has are quite good, however, the velocities are all at maximum! makes the song sound a little dumb.

do you think that is a midi file issue, or a pro tools issue?
