Here is may setup, alesis adat and qs8, up to date computer
with standard sound card, ensoniq or whatever, plextor cd burner, an adat pcr card for downloading tracks from adat.
My questions are, is, if I have audio tracks on the adat and midi on the computer how do I go about sequencing midi tracks up with the audio? If I use my computer wont I get the sounds from the midi on the cheap soundcard? Should I let the computer play back through my QS8 and record the material on to a track in the adat? What devices will I need to accomplish this and at what price? If I was just a better keyboard player I probably wouldnt have to do this, but I am a guitar player and my keyboard skills are wanting but I can do it in midi. One last ? Say I play a progression in midi on the computer at 102 beats a minute, and I find the live version of the rest of the song played by all the musicians on the adat turns out to be 98 beats per minute, can I adjust and still sync up?
Actually I have a hundred more questions but they will have to wait?

C7, my questions are vague also, I dont know much about midi. Worked with it on opcode musicshop on my mac, now I have a pc. I have no midi interface at this time and that is
one of my questions and needs, what should I get. Will check
the adat manual for sympte time code etc. Will my Alesis QS8
keyboard provide better patchs than my sound card, how
good are virtual synths?
