Hello folks,
I"m not really sure what the hell I want to do here, so I'll explain it the best I can [Smile]
So, the sequencing and editing capabilities on the TD-10 pretty much suck. My V-drums are in a detached garage (where it can get pretty damn cold...at least California cold), and I don't want to have to run out, hook it up, and try to play something everytime I need a new beat (or want to edit one I have)
So, what I'd like to do is find a fairly simple midi edit/sequence program so I could load up patterns from the TD-10 into the computer and edit them. It'd be really nice if I could also create loops/programs in the software and load them into the TD-10.
Are any of these programs set up in a bars/beat format? Like, there'd be a list of the pieces of the kit scrolling down on the left (bass, snare, etc), and I could click into a box to add whichever instrumetn on that beat. Does that make sense? Or is it even possible?
So, with all this in mind, what software do you recommend? This is all I plan on using midi for at the moment, so I don't need anything super powerful. Freebies would be extra nice [Smile]
Thanks,
Chris
