Hey guys,

So I decided that I was going to stop using samples and loops and go with MIDI drums. I'd heard good things about Bluenoise's MyDrumset, so I downloaded it from their website. However, I haven't done any MIDI before, and I can't get the VSTi to make any noise at all. I've put the plugin into the VST folder, it loads and comes up in Reaper, I've set the Record monitoring to on so I should be able to hear it, I've got the virtual MIDI keyboard functioning, the only thing I can think of is that I need multiple outs from the channel...I don't know how to do that. Any tips or help? Appreciate it

Tom

I'm not familiar with that vsti, but a couple of things to check are which MIDI channel it's listening on (drums are channel 10 by default) and make sure you're sending that channel to it - also check what octave you're playing in. B0 and C1 are kick in general midi and most drum vstis that I've ever used start there.
