Ok, I'm playing drums on my casio keyboard, which is connected to my Presonus Firepod[ with Cubase LE]. I'm using the lm-7 as my synth. Here's the problem: The notes are recording, but the rhythymn at which I play them is not recording right. Somebody give me an easy, newbie-compatible, step by step explanation on how ti fix this please!

Well, your question is about as vague as it gets ("doesn't sound right"...), but I'll give it a shot.

Start by choosing a tempo. You can change this in the Transport (select Fixed Tempo first).
Now turn the click on.
Now start recording.
When your done go into the midi part by double clicking on it.
Found out what the keycommand for Quantize is, and press it.
Now you should have a drumtrack that, with any luck, is perfectly timed.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, find the words you don't understand in the manual first.

ok, heres a more specfic problem. I'll play, say, 4 quarter notes on the bass drum. It will come out as two half notes.

Sounds to me like you have the quantize set to half notes, and then you have two notes overlapping at exactly the same time due to the quantization; i.e. Beats 2 and 4 got moved to beats 1 and 3. At least, that's my take on things.

Does Quantize turn on by itself? Because it does it without me ever messing with the quantize function.

it does'nt turn on by itself. if you turn it off, it will stay off.

then it can't be quantize, because i never turned it on in the first place.
