Ok, quick question-

If I got a M-audio USB Midisport, plugged it into my midi keyboard, ran it through Cubase VST would I be able to get all the cool vst synth sounds on my keyboard to record with?

Is it as simple as this? Or am I missing somthing?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the vst synths on the computer or the built in sounds on your keyboard?

I'm confused. Normally you would plug your MIDI keyboard into the Midisport, which relays the MIDI down the USB cable to your computer where (hopefully :D) Cubase recognizes and picks it up. Then you can make Cubase VST sounds play by triggering using the keys on the keyboard. If you are looking to record sounds from your keyboard, then you would send the audio outs into your AUDIO interface and record in Cubase as AUDIO files.

Yeah, I mean using computer vst synths.

Thanks for your help.
