Hello,
All I am trying to do is be able to select Bus 1-2 stereo on the MIDI output selector. I created an audio track and I am trying to Bus the signal from the MIDI track to the input of the audio track so that I can hear the audio. It was working about an hour ago and now I can't do it. The only selections I get are predefined and the actual instrument that I am using. What happened? By the way, I am using Pro Tools le 7. Thanks.

Set your output of your midi channel to (for example) Bus 15-16. Set the input of your audio channel to Bus 15-16. Raise both faders, should work.

That's the problem. I am not given a choice of Buses to select.

Hey SFCPhilip,

set the output of the midi channel to the device you are trying to trigger.

the midi device should either be a Virtual Instrument inserted on an aux track or a hardware instrument that is patched into your audio interface.

In the case of a hardware instrument, make sure the aux track's input field is set to the inputs the hardware is connected to, eg. if you have the stereo outputs of a Triton connected to inputs 7+8 of a Digi002, set the input for the Aux track to input 7-8.

In protools 7, using an instrument track is a much easier way to go. at the risk of sounding redundant, if you haven't already, check out my video tutorial.

I'll have the rest of them up over the weekend
