I am trying to patch a juno g into garage band on my imac through a usb cable. I have the driver and everything for the juno g but my problem is i can only seem to use it as a controller for the imac's built in sounds. Is their some way I can use the juno g's sounds and record directly to garage band with the usb or will it be easier to just mic an amp?

I'm not sure about the specifics of the juno, but I always like to amp and mic synths because they end up sounding a lot more like real instruments than digitized sounds

Yeah i was kinda leaning towards that anyways. It would be nice to know how though for quickie spur of the moment recordings

I used to use Garageband but Apple's unwillingness to support (or at least *document* support) for non-Apple add-ons drove me to use the Cubase LE that came with my Presonus and eventually ditch the PowerBook altogether for a Dell. :(

But, can you run direct from the Juno's line out to the Imac's line in and record it as an audio track in parallel with the MIDI track? Just an idea.
