midi newb!! HELP :P

My drummer have a Roland TD12k vdrum and we want to be able to use it
with a program like SSD steven slate drums 3.5.

Are midi in/out on audio interface all the same?
I'm looking at the TC impact twins and the Saffire pro 24 DSP right now.

Yes, They are just an in and an out. Whatever interface should show up as a midi device when the proper drivers are installed.
