Midi misses notes with large playback buffer

Hey got a problem here.
Using Sonar 2.2, I have my playback buffer set pretty big so my computer can play back multiple audio tracks a bit better. Anyway I opened up an old project with audio and midi and the midi just seems to be skipping notes. I opened up a plain midi file and the same thing, when I move the playback buffer size down and hit play the midi works fine. I'm using DXi instruments, mostly just the included sound canvas. The problem is that I need the bigger buffer for the audio!

So any thoughts on how I can fix this?

That's a strange one. The audio buffer shouldn't have anything to do with MIDI (except for the DXi playback), and the higher buffer should help playback, not hinder it.

Not sure this will help, but have you tried raising the number of midi buffers?? Options > Global > Midi > Playback

Try increasing to 1000.

Yeah thats what I thought. Didn't seem to make any difference when I increased the midi playback buffer... My computer is pretty much full of crap at the moment, might just clean it up and lower the audio buffer, seems to work fine then.
