I am using the Evolution UC-33 to remotely control my AKAI DR16 through MIDI. So far I am able to get the DR16 to STOP, START, RECORD, RW, FF.

What I want to do is use MMC for "ZERO RETURN", and "TRACK ARMING". But I have no idea commands to use. According to AKAI, the DR16 follows standard MMC commands, so there is nothing exclusive. If anyone knows anything about programming MMC, let me know. Thank you

Has Akai told you that the DR16 tracks can be enabled over MMC and then refused to give you the proper information to perform such a feat? How rude! How 'bout the manual? You don't mention how old your DR16 is, but you can find every generation of the DR16 manual here:
