If i want to plug a midi keyboard into my computer, what will the differences be in these two methods?
One i can keep the SB live in my card, and using the adapter and going into the joystick port, i can use it for midi, and then maybe buy a delta 66.
Or i can pay the extra money, get the extra inputs and get midi inptus as well and get the delta 1010.
Now if i had the Delta 1010 with the midi inputs could i just take out the SB card completly (it would be nice not having to deal with it).
I have latency problems with it right now and i'd like to be done with it. So is it worth it paying the extra for a delta 1010 and getting the midi inputs so that i don't have to buy an external midi input device or use a SB? And will it work the same?
I understand that you need a SB for things like soundfonts, but assuming i don't really know what soundfonts are and that i'd mostly be using softsynths like pro 52/53 or fm7?
