alright guys, im a total n00b here, but im not a musical n00b, im just curious as to how MIDI would work if i put it in a guitar,.. im talking like intercepting my direct signal between the pots and outpu jack so the sound i get from the output jack comes from the MIDI device. i appreciate the feedback, sorry im not too familiar with people on this forum, so if you dont understand quite qwhere im coming from or talking about say so, i mean you all seem to know what your talking about

Midi devices don't produce any sound, just data that gets coverted into sound by another device. I'm not sure how you would convert the electrical signals from the pickups into midi data that would be recognised by another device. I guess that means I don't quite understand where you're coming from

Edit - have you had a look at a Variaxe?

you can't do that. you'll have to buy a MIDI pickup for yer guitar, like the Roland GK-2A. either that or get a Variaxe, or a Roland Ready Strat.

you'll then need to get a MIDI device to plug that into, and then out of the MIDI device into whatever.
