Midi - I don't need it.

I think MIDI is beginning to lose it's power. I mean, check out my song "Epoch" at www.mp3.com/clubzero which I created ONLY with software. The quality is as good as it had been done with expensive hardware and Cubase. Do you agree?

The lure of MIDI is that it's a language that a wide variety of synths can understand. Just because you can combine sampled audio to create a track doesn't diminish this power. In fact that just makes it MORE powerful.
 
drstawl - you only mention synths, I'll add to that all your outboard gear ... and all your software effects, I'd hate to be without midi ... I would miss the fun of seing my automated faders bouncing up and down :D

Also, I think the eq's and the overall compression is great. The eq meters are hitting the ceiling most of the time...:)
