MIDI / Guitar Question

I use Pro Audio 9, and Sound Forge for recording and editing music...I'v been reading a little on MIDI, and now i'd like to dive in. Do i need a "keyboard" controller or can I plug my guitar into a MIDI interface of some type? If so , any sugestions as far as specific equipment? Thanks

You definately need a keyboard midi controller unless you have special midi pickups on your guitar. There are hundreds of controllers out there. Just depends on your budget and what features are important.
