Setup:
nuendo 3.2
M-audio delta 192
Yamaha midi keyboard [out to soundcard]
VSTi in question is Stienberg's The Grand 2.
Xp Pro

I have had no problems with playing VST's before with my keyboard, i hit a key and the vst plays it out through my speakers. When i try to use The Grand, both the neundo and The Grand show that they are receiving the midi data, and the grand will even play a piano sound, but it wont play ITS piano sounds. I know this because when i click the The Grand's virtual keyboard with my mouse the correct sounds play. The piano sounds i get by playing my keyboard is like a soft muted piano of which The Grand's control's have no effect over. I tried another piano VSTi and im getting the same problem, where it plays exactly the same sound. Its almost as if there is a problem playing VSTi's but not VST's. Ive also played through MS wavetable synth and the sounds im getting are not that, and ive checked all my connections, i dont know what else to do, someone please help, i have to score a film by tomorrow and i dont have any way to record!

Excuse me if I am wrong but I have to be suspicious about that fact that you would pay $3K plus for a piece of software that you would not even bother to "crack" the manual for and would come running to a forum with questions as basic as this.. Maybe you should take this up with Steinberg.net and see what they have to say, it is the best resource for all Steinberg products and is free with a valid product key. You get what you pay for, right?

Because they dont provide professional help on their forums, and from what i can see people get less help over there than they do here, which isnt saying much.

But yes, all VSTi's playing as they should except this one is a amazing simple problem, why, its so simple that even super intelligent beings such as yourself have jumped to offering the correct solution. But tell me something, is it lonely up there on the cross?

Oh, I know exactly what the problem is, but ppl round here dont look too kindly on people that steal software and expect to get help for it when they cannot even be bothered to open a manual so I choose simply not to help you.
