i am new to this and i have had trouble recording music using pro audio 7
and using soundblaster awe (something before live)
when i record using my old roland, i expected the "MIDI signal" to just
go through and that i will be able to "COAT" those signals
with ANY different voices I have in my soundblaster.
but not only did it only utilize my keyboard voices, when i switch settings on ONE
voice, i.e. my bass guitar track being lowered an octave, the WHOLE friggin MUSIC goes
down an octave. anotherwords, it's 100% dependent on my keyboard! and it's pissing me off!
can someone perhaps "explain" the whole logic behind MIDI recording via PC and soundcard?
thank you.
