Sorry if this question is dumb, I'm a newbie to MIDI......
But I have recorded myself playing some stuff on a keyboard with MIDI and put it on a floppy disk and transfered it onto my computer. But it stays in MIDI format, is there anyway I can convert it so I can mix it with other sounds in Sound Forge?
Thanks for any help.

The MIDI data is performance data that will trigger a MIDI-compatible sound module to play sounds. What you need is to have a MIDI module of some form and record the audio output of it whle it's playing the MIDI messages.

What MIDI-compatible sound module would you recomend?

Why don't you use the keyboard you used to record MIDI. i.e if it has GM standard sound, then it would be a good one to start. Play the MIDI there, route audio cable from your keyboard into line in of your soundcard, and record with your SoundForge :)
