I amready to test the midi waters and waswondering what midi converter I need to work with CW9.
Is this necessary to be able to workwith midi files with Lala 20 ?

Midi Converter?

I'm not sure what you mean by Midi Converter. But I don't know much about midi.

If you are talking about the Echo Layla I had one of those once and couldn't get the midi to work right so I sent it back and got a Motu 2408 MkII for my audio D/A.

Back to midi.

A good deal is the Midiman MidiSport 4x4. That's what I am using and it works great. Once you install the drivers and hook it up via USB to your computer you can chose which ports you want to use for inputs and outputs from Options > Midi Devices.
I bought mine off of EBay.

It has worked really well for me.

But if one midi port is enough (16 channels) then you can get
something much cheaper (although the 4x4 is pretty cheap).
I would recommend getting something that will allow you to have one port for each midi device you want to control/record.

Hope that helps.

Good Luck,

Nemal
