Midi Controller/Output Problem

Hello,

I have a really old Yamaha PS-6100 that i have connected through my soundblaster audigy sound card using midi cables. I have been trying to use the VSTi's in cubase SX2 and record using them and my keyboard. I've looked around the forum and have found answers to some "no midi output" questions, but im not sure if mine just doesnt work because I dont have drivers for my keyboard?

I've tried a bunch of things, my Midi Thru is active. Cubase is receiving a signal as I can see the bar go up when I hit a key, so im not sure what exactly I should do. Anyone know how I could fix this problem?

I see you're a student. Have you tried reading the manual?

I dont have the manual, I bought Cubase SX! Power thinking it would be better to help me learn the program. But I cant find the answers there either.

The manual comes with the program. Did you get a pirated copy?
