MIDI Controller Advice/Suggestions?

I'm contemplating getting a MIDI controller for synths (soft-synths) and possible Sonar mixing. Was considering the Phat.boy, Kenton Control Freak, Philip Rees C-16 and the Doepfer Pocket thangs. I would appreciate knowing what others use and whether they have any recommendations or other alternatives. I don't have a lot of money to spend. Also posted on the MIDI forum...not sure which one was correct.

i've been thinking about getting the oxygen8....one of the big things about midi controllers is if you want a decent keyboard...i happen to think that the Roland SPD-6 is one of the coolest controllers on the market.........if you're not the piano player , then of course, the keyboard isn't so important...there have been a lot of reviews and articles on what's out there...Computer Music Mag recently had a round up and review.....
