Hello fellow Sonar3 users,

Can anyone tell me how to preset the Midi channels so that I don't have to use "Omni"? right now if I record one track with Midi, all the subsequent tracks recorded take on the sound of the first one, cause I"m stuck using Omni.

thanks very much

Just open blank MIDI project (16 tracks), then assign each track's input channel (1 to 16), then save it as template (File-->Save as). Next time you open new project from that template, it's MIDI input set automaticaly...

If you don't want to reset the keyboards midi output channel, you can turn on your input channel to match your keyboard and and when you're done recording set it to none.

The outputs can be set to different channels independent of the input channel.

Each sound needs it's own output channel, for instance

1-piano
2-bass
3-pad
etc...

As each sound is recorded it should be on a seperate track, with a seperate output channel.
You can use the same input channel on each track,as long as it's turned off on the other tracks.

Yup.

Yup. That's what I do too. Works like a charm.
