Midi books?

I have been looking at a few on Amazon, Midi Power! etc..

Could somebody recommend a good book all about midi, from the beginner onwards?

Here's one --- link --- that's written by Paul White whose writing I know and respect. He's the Editor of the top music products magazine in the world, the UK's Sound on Sound.

He writes very well and this book should be easy to understand -- and it's relatively inexpensive too...
