I recently replaced a slow XP machine, the main reason being I wanted to edit AVCHD video.
The new machine has an I7 processor, 6 gig of ram 64bit and does a reasoanble job with video. The old machine had an SW100XG midi card.

I'll probaly get sonar for the new machine as the it seems to be quite stable with 64bit os, my question is about midi, from what ive read vista will only work with microsoft wave table, i could buy something like an external MU 50 or similar, i have not had a great deal to do with VST or DXI stuff, will something like Hailion or or virtual instruments do the same job i.e. play a midi file ?
Thanks

steve

No, that is not correct. All you need is appropriate 64bit drivers for V64, everything else is the same as far as software goes whether it be native 64bit or 32 bit on 64.
