Midi and Reason 2.5

My friend recently gave me reason 2.5. I dont know much about midi. This is what I want to do. I want to be able to plug one of those small keyboards (midi controller?) into my computer and be able to play the sounds in some of the modules in reason. for example strings, or trumpets or something. What do I do and what do I have to get to do this? Is it possible?

i have reason 2.5 and use an OXYGEN 8 midi controller by midiman it comes with a cable to run to your usb port. install the software that comes with it. then in reason select which midi device you want as your default or whatever.you should be good to go.
