first of all I have the following specs
AMD k6-500
320 Meg Ram
20 gig HD
Win98
PowerTracks 7.0
Cakewalk 9.0
Just recently I started to lose sync between my midi and audio tracks on both Power Tracks and Cakewalk. I loaded a midi-only file and found that my midi tracks were "hickuping" and jumping out of sequence. I pressed ctrl-alt-del to see if anything was running in the background and ended all but "systray" and "explorer" and still had the problem. I've been recording on this system for months and this problem just appeared. A strange thing I just noticed is that my mouse pointer is flickering rapidly as I move it over a web page - I don't remember seeing it doing this before. Any suggestions?
