Mic's for Computer Recording

I'm looking for a mic to use for computer recording. I was looking at a regular mic with a 1/4" wire and I could use an adapter to bring it down to 1/8" but are there decent mics with 1/8" wire?

look at those new Sure USB mics, a dynamic mic will not give you the best results

I'm not familiar with the USB mic's but you ought to look at a USB preamp and get a SM-58 to start with. Then you'll be able to use other microphones with the same preamp for different situations.

A USB pre would work with any standard mic (Condenser or Dynamic)
