Microphone clip difference holes?

Hello guys, I would like to enquire on how do I hook this Shure SM58 mic clip onto my desktop mic stand? It seems to me that the hole is too big.. *That's what she said*.

Ha! It kinda does.
Darren, if that brass inner is threaded, you just need a thread adapter.

There are two common sizes. Looks like you have one of each.



This screws on to the skinny stand thread, then the clip screws onto it.
If you bought any of your mics new, there's a good chance you have one of these.

Sadly, I don't. But I am going to order an Audio Technica 2020 ( XLR edition ) , hopefully it has the screw.
