my friend gave back my micro korg the other day but with a different ac adaptor  . it works fine with the one he gave me but in the manual it says Not to use another type. he may still have it but it may be lost somewhere in his studio somewhere. im sure its fine with others but if not can you puchase new korg ones off the net??????

cheers

As long as the replacement AC adaptor exactly matches the output specifications of the one that came with your microKORG, then there should not be any problem.

Just look at the output (DC volts and mA) on the replacement adaptor and read the microkorg manual to see what it requires.

it only says (in the manual) the voltage which is 9v and 6.5w, it doesnt state the ma. i have used two different ac adaptors since i lost it, both 9v but with different ma one had 200 and the other 300. can someone look at their adaptor plug and post the specs here

cheers

hey thanks. the only problem is that its pretty impossible to get the same matching spec as that in the uk. i can get a replacement one for the US but not for here. its working fine with the two adaptors which ive tried both being 9v of different ma (200,300).

Um, that would make it a 722 mA max wart since watts = Volts * Amps. The max current does not matter as long as it is above what the max draw of the unit so as long as it is 9V DC equal to or over 600 mA, you are fine

hmm didnt quite understand the last message, sorry, i think i get it. basicly am i ok to use the adaptor which im using at the moment which is 9v 300ma? it seems to be working fine, and the synth has also worked fine with a 9v 200ma. if its not safe the where can i buy a 9v 600ma for the UK, ive looked but they all seem to go up to 500ma.

thanks again
