Mic'ing Vibes and Marimba ...best placement/mic type/stereo....

These are big instruments and I'm having a hard time getting the sound right. Above, underneath, straight at the bars ???I just don't know. I've heard of three mic's being used on the instrument??

I've got one C414 tl2 and one Neuman 184 I'm trying out.

Above (about 18"), in front (about 8" out), in thirds (point each mic at the center of the bars, about 1/3 in from the ends).
