Micing a drumset. now with pictars!!

Hullo. It's late and I dont wanna go to bed. So I made this nifty little drum-map for you to look at. I will record this set of drums soon, and I thought I'd ask you how YOU would do it.

1. Kick
2-3 smaaal toms. very percussive sound
4 Tom
5 Floor Tom
6 Snare
7 Timbali type snare
8 Hihat
9 Two cymbals screwed TIGHTLY together... weird sound.
10 Ride
11 Crash

Cymbals are about a foot above Floor Tom.

Avalible mics are:
2 Oktava MC012
4 SM57
1 Rode NT3
1 Rode NT1
2 Audio Technica ATM11 (oooold and battered)
1 SM58

I'm gonna use 8 tracks at most for this. Preferably not more than 7.

Now don't pick up a pencil and draw on your monitor...

of course, the MC012s as overheads

of course a sm57 on snare

of course 3 sm57s left center and right for the tom spread

the sm58 with the screen off for the inside of the kick.....

one of the rest on the outside of the kick a little out front.....

but what the hell do I know....sleep deprivation is a BAD thing.......

What are the ATM11's? Since they are a pair, add them in as an additional pair farther back than the overheads, make sure you find the best place in the room for them. Take your time. Also take the NT 1 and # and put them somewhere in the room kind of far away. Find the best sounding spot for them. Try them later for different flavors of room mic. Other than that, Gidge is pretty onto things. Although I would attempt using one the NT1 in or close to the kick too. I dunno what kind of SPL it has, but I'd try it.
