hey, did you get a chance to cut any tracks with your T3 this weekend?

just wondering what you thought of it..

i am really wanting to get a nice vocal mic, and i don't know between the T3 or the Rode NTK..

I've heard a lot of great stuff from the NTK on this board..

And, I've heard some great reviews of the T3 - but, nothing really from any users here.

I just started working with it this weekend. My first impressions are that it is extremely sensitive, which can be a good thing, I had it up on a stand, in its shock mount, and as I walked across my carpeted floor, in my socks, I could see the meters jumping around! I'm used to working with condensors, but I have never seen one this sensitive!

For instruments, placement is going to be critical, more so than most of my other LD condensor mics I have.

I think it's going to work very well for vocals, probably more so than most other vocal condensors I have. I'm still in the early stages of working with it though, and hopefully I'll be able to post a sample later this week. It's going to take time and patience to learn how to use this one effectively.

interesting.

well this will be my first "good" vocal mic...so, maybe the NTK would be better for a newbie.
