Mic Voice Distortion

Well my brother bought me a condenser microphone that connects by USB. What is a condenser microphone? He says it's very good for voice. Anyways he lives faraway and can't give it to me yet. So I am borrowing my friends $30 headmicrophone. My voice sounds kind of good but I want it BETTER. What I mean is that I dont want to sound like im underground.

Condenser microphones, specifically large diaphragm condenser (LDC) microphones, are a common choice for studio recordings of vocals. They tend to provide a high level of detail/clarity and are sometimes flattering for voices. The one your brother is recommending is probably the Samson C-01U, as that's the only USB compatible condenser I'm aware of. I wouldn't personally recommend that mic based on Samson's reputation, but it's probably better than what you have now.

Nevermind about the condensor microphone, I think I had a dream of that word and made that up. LOL.
