Found a couple of deals today. Neumann 184 for $399.99 from GC in Falls Church,VA at 703-533-8500. And MGR in Houston 832-912-9555 had a AT3035 with shockmount for $60.00, MGR in Littleton CO 303-932-8277 has a Shure Unidyne III for $65.00. That Neumann is a pretty good deal.

Yup! right about at the half price mark - which is just about what I like to pay for used microphones/gear of good quality.

Yup - years ago, when I was in the retail business, the rule of thumb was to "buy at a quarter and sell at a half" - so, you would pay £25 for something that retailed for £100 and sell it for £50.

That seems to be GC's policy-----------or close to it. I would never sell my gear there, they don't pay diddly squat. On the other hand, they re-sell the used gear at usually real decent prices.
