Why would you think that? It's still the most-used LDC mic on the planet for vocals. IMO, the 87 and the M149 are two of the best mics Neumann makes.

Luckly for you guys i run a sellout home, and becuse i'm such a nice guy it's free.
What this involves is you sending me your U87 (or any other mic that's made you a sellout). And i'll send you an email containing a certificate you can print out and hang on your wall to help you sleep at night.
