Mic Problems..

Everything is working tickety-boo.
You're just taking a long time to get this done because you're only giving us a little information at a time.
Your soundcard is fine.
Let's move on to your DAW now.
What DAW are you using?
At this point, expect someone who uses the same DAW, to pop in and tell you exactly how to ARM YOUR TRACKS.
Then you'll be up and running.

I have a weird feeling that something is going on with my computer, not the interface or mics..
I have "Realtek HD Audio Manager" on my computer, could this be interfering with the microphones or the interface?

No. Leave that as it is.
What are your speakers hooked up to?
and
Does the Art USB also show up as an option along with Realtek?
 
I am using audacity.

spakers are hooked up directly into the art
and the art usb is set seperatly as the default device, rather then realtek.

Are the levels for your interface turned on / up? They're muted by default in a lot of software. So you have levels for the drivers for your hardware (software / digital). You probably have hardware knobs on the devices itself (gain). And of course you might have to select the right device to record from in audacity (Edit -> Preferences). Which might mean disabling the onboard soundcard in the bios depending on your operating system. Lots of things that it MIGHT be. Many of which might not be intuitive.
 
the levels are turned up on the interface. Levels are turned up through the computer (control panel - sound)
nothing seems to be muted, i set the device in audacity and still got nothing.
i have disabled the soundcard and internal mic.
i just dont know what to do anymore.
 
ok, a little bit of good news. i'm not really sure what i did, but i am getting some sort of return on the mic. when i crank the gain, i get intense feedback in the recording and if i sing into the mic i can just barely hear myself. any thoughts?
 
Yup!
You're singing into the back of the mic.
You do know that these are "Side address" or "Side fire" mics, right?
Turn it down and twiddle with your settings.
Look for help on arming your tracks and playing back in Audacity but basically, you've got the engine started.
There will be no stopping you now.
