Couldn't pass up a sweet deal on an NTV. So I bought it without thinking. Now while I wait for it to come in the mail I can think things through a little more. Here's my dilemna...I've got an art tube MP pre.
Those of you with these mics:
What pres do you use with them?
Will my tube mp do it justice? (do you think the tube coloring on the mp will be overkill with a tube mic?)
I could run it str8 into my board (roland vm3100 pro) would this be an improvement over the art?
Do I need to shell out the money for a new pre? If so which one?
I had an NT1 which sounded ok but 1/2 the time I preferred the sound of my sm57. Hope I hear an improvement with the NTV.
