Mic Pre as Bass D.I.?

I'm getting a Studio Projects B1 for acoustic guitar and voice and am looking at preamps. Before I choose one, would anyone suggest an entry-level product that would also do a decent job as a D.I. for electric bass? Thanx.

I second what Fletcher said. I bought mine from him. It's great, and a bargain in terms of bang for buck, in my opinion.

another "entry level" pre would be the Delta DMP3 ($119 at Guitar Center).....

DMP3 was at the top of my list, along with the Studio Projects pre. Thanks for backing that up...if I decide to stay within that budget, I'll get in touch w/GC. Do you find the lack of XLR outputs to be a disadvantage?

Actually, the fact that you can go either balanced or unbalanced out is a big plus.

I really dig the dmp3 as a DI. It's just very clean and neutral. I've been busy upgrading just about all of my mic pres lately, but the dmp3 stays. I just can't seem to get rid of it.
