on a marshal valvestate should i mic the amp or line it into the sound board??

Bottom line..... What do you like?.
I have a valve state and use the line out most of the time. but i agree that a mic'ed amp cant be beat.
If you have a good mic and can acheive what you are after than go for it. If it dosn't work than switch back.

I say go line in. A friend and I miked my old bassman amp and then compaired it to his POD and my J-Station going line in. I could hear the room with the bassman, but after we added some reverb to POD and J-Station I couldn't tell one from the other.
